NEW Group Fitness Schedule Effective January 30th, 2012

Thank you for making our Group Fitness Classes so popular and taking part in our Group Fitness Survey. As of January 30th, 2012, we are pleased to announce changes to our schedule.

NEW CLASSES ADDED:

9 New Power Cycle Classes

  • Sunday from 9:30-10:30am
  • Monday from 12:05-1:05pm
  • Monday from 7:00-8:00pm
  • Tuesday from 7:00-8:00pm
  • Wednesday from 6:15-7:15am
  • Wednesday from 12:05-1:05pm
  • Wednesday from 7:00-8:00pm
  • Thursday from 7:00-8:00pm
  • Friday from 6:15-7:15am

WELCOME BACK TO:

Zumba

  • Wednesday from 5:00-6:00pm (starting February 1st)
  • Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm (starting February 4th)

Deep Water Fitness

  • Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am
  • Friday from 10:30-11:30am

Cardio Kickboxing

  • Sunday from 10:30-11:30am

CHANGES IN TIMES:

Group Power, RIPPED! and Power Cycling

  • Classes scheduled from 6:30-7:30am will be changed to 6:15-7:15am

While extra classes are welcome and necessary, the timing doesn't reflect what I and several other members have been saying and asking for -- specifically, more early a.m. classes on weekdays as well as weekends. I can understand that a noon hour class may appeal to staff and housewives, but most people work and have to come before or after office hours. Also, has the Saturday class been cancelled? Very disappointing.

Thank you for your message. My name is Jenn Mireau, the Group Fitness, Programs & Services Team Leader at Talisman Centre and I would like to take this opportunity to answer your questions regarding the new Group Fitness schedule. In December, Talisman Centre surveyed our Group Fitness participants for feedback on how we could improve our service. Based on the results of this survey, we implemented a variety of changes to the schedule. Here is some more information on what classes are available early mornings & weekends:

Group Power, RIPPED! and Power Cycle classes scheduled from 6:30-7:30am Monday-Friday will now be scheduled from 6:15-7:15am

Nine Power Cycle classes have been added to the schedule including W/F from 6:15-7:15am and M/T/W/R from 7:00-8:00pm

Six Classes will be offered on Saturday’s including Maximum Step, Power Cycle, Group Power, Yoga, RIPPED! and Zumba®

Five Classes will be offered on Sunday’s including RIPPED! (x2), Power Cycle, Cardio Kickboxing & Yoga

I was talking about the Power Cycling classes specifically. I know for a fact that the changes are not reflective of what participants want.

I find the 7PM cycling classes to be ideal. the 530 class is incredibly difficult to attend especially considering if you show up at 5:05 you're too late. Thanks for putting that option on
