No lane ropes for public swimming: May 5-8

Due to the pool requirements for the National Water Polo event running from May 5th to May 8th we will not be able to provide lane ropes for public swimming in the competition pool.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Your daily schedule and the schedule provided to the lifeguards do not match -- people ("Members") were kicked out of the pool prematurely this morning.

People rely on the Daily Schedule to be accurate when planning their visit and their specific workout and it is highly inconvenient and a waste of time to be told you can't finish your planned routine.

Thank you for your comment!

We do always try to ensure our website is as up to date as possible. Unfortunately, the National Water Polo competition had an unexpected change in the space requirements and we had to adjust our schedule on the fly to make these accommodations.

With these changes, we were able to make room in the training pool to accommodate the needs of the public lane swimmers but do apologize that the facility space did not match the daily schedule.

Thank you!

Why is the dive tank closed in the AM ( I come to rehab an injury - not swim lengths ) , I am sure that they aren't playing water polo in that pool. Since Christmas I have had to pay to swim at Inglewood numerous times because of special events at Talisman. I depend on the daily schedule being accurate and would appreciate it if there was more information included.

Good morning,

Talisman Centre has sport clubs that typically rent the dive tank in the early morning time for their training practices. As a general rule, we typically have half the dive tank open to public in the mornings but do not permit access to the dive boards due to the training groups in the water at the same time.

Thank you!
