Re: Class Sizes
I notice that Ripped classes will be back soon and sincerely hope that only a "reasonable" maximum number of participants will be allowed in the classes. In the past, people were crammed in like sardines and often, there were far more participants than equipment (hand weights/dumb bells) resulting in frustration as well as injuries in some cases.
In the interest of health & safety, please enforce your policy about class size ("Class numbers are limited and subject to revision") perhaps by handing out a maximum number of entry passes &/or having a staff member monitor the number of participants and restrict entry.
Thank you for your comment, here are a few new policies we have implemented to alleviate the concerns you have mentioned:
- The Customer Service Desk will be handing out Drop-In Fitness Access Cards for all Drop-In classes including Ripped (These cards will be accessible 30 minutes prior to the start of class)
- The Drop-In Fitness Access Cards will all be numbered to help us monitor the number of people attending the classes
- All Drop-In Fitness equipment will be locked in a storage room in efforts to increase the longevity and quality of the equipment used for classes
- A representative from Talisman Centre will open the storage room for Drop-In Fitness class participants no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of class
- Participants are required to hand in their access card prior to entering the storage room to get their equipment for the class
- Once the class has started, the storage room will be closed to prevent people from coming late to the class
- There will be a maximum of 80 steps and mats available for Ripped participants.
