Starting the week of September 6th 2011, Talisman Centre will be offering Deep Water Fitness classes on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30am to 11:30am. We are still looking to hire an instructor to teach the classes on Tuesday & Friday mornings. These classes will be offered again once this instructor is hired.

Gym Floor Maintenance Aug 29 - Sept 11

Starting August 29th and through to September 11th there will be no access to Gyms 1, 2 and 3 due to annual maintenance to protect the floors from wear and tear. You may notice an odour during this process due the product being used but please note it is non-toxic. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) will be available at the Customer Service Desk if you wish to know more.

All Group Fitness classes currently taking place in Gym #1 during this time will be moved to Gym 4 or 5. Please note the Group Power classes normally scheduled for 12:15pm on August 30th and September 1st will be replaced with Boot Camp and Core.

Public gym times for basketball and badminton will be made available in Gyms 4 or 5. Please be sure to check the Daily Schedule for available times.

NEW Power Cycle Studio opening September 17th!

You’ve been asking and we’ve been listening – Talisman Centre is excited to announce the opening of a dedicated Power Cycle Studio! The Studio will be located across from Good Earth Café and will offer more space and more classes for our cycling enthusiasts.

Join us on September 17th for our FREE OPEN HOUSE EVENT* celebrating Sports Day in Canada and the official opening of the new Power Cycle Studio where we will be featuring three Power Cycle classes throughout the day so everyone can come try out the new space!

Alberta Summer Swimming Association Provincials will be held at Talisman Centre August 12 - August 14. This competition will bring in around 1000 athletes, event officials and spectators. PARKING MAY BE LIMITED!
